The grapes used are grown organically in Italy and a sample has been tested for glyphosate and none was found. Once the grape must and wine vinegar are blended, the mixture is aged in oak vats, which help to deepen the complexity of flavor and give the vinegar the desired texture and thickness. This high quality Balsamic Vinegar has a thick consistency and sweetness that is very pleasing to the palate. It is ideal for being used as a salad dressing, especially when paired with a high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It is very versatile in the kitchen and can be added to soups and stews to improve flavor. It can also be reduced and used to enhance the flavor of meats or vegetables. Our Balsamic Vinegar of Modena also makes an excellent marinade for meat. It can even be used as a drizzle for ice cream or strawberries! Many lesser quality balsamic vinegars use thickeners, sweeteners and artificial colors to achieve the same texture, flavor and dark color of our Balsamic Vinegar. However, our premium Balsamic Vinegar only contains cooked grape must and wine vinegar with nothing else added. Our Balsamic Vinegar is at 6% acidity and will last indefinitely.
